This painting occupies a position between the poles of abstraction andfiguration, as fine hatchings, graphic structures and floating areas of colour can be recognised, even read, for what they are: Colours and lines on a picture support that refer to themselves as traces of a creative design process. Through the translucency, the optical colouring and transparency of the pictorial space, there is not only a unification of the painterly composition of surface and line, but also its relativisation through the deliberate provocation of the pictorial entanglement of painting itself.
